Cardinals vs Giants Player Props: Five Scoring Markets With Price Limits
Arizona and New York offer several recognizable touchdown candidates, but the checked board prices the two main rushing options as more likely than not to score. Football Nation's Week 4 review therefore starts with the payout rather than the name. The most useful decision is whether a specific player has a credible finishing route at an acceptable quote, after accounting for the final personnel on both sides.
The game begins Sunday, October 4, at noon CT at MetLife Stadium. BetMGM's early October 3 event snapshot listed Arizona favored by 2.5 points with a total of 44. The five anytime touchdown quotes in the table came from that board. They are current research snapshots, not documented opening prices, and the FN minimums are comparison rules rather than alternate odds asserted to be available.
Five actual touchdown markets
Player | BetMGM decimal quote | Break even rate | FN minimum decimal entry |
|---|---|---|---|
Cam Skattebo anytime TD | 1.83 | 54.64% | 2.10 |
Jeremiyah Love anytime TD | 1.83 | 54.64% | 2.10 |
Trey McBride anytime TD | 2.45 | 40.82% | 2.60 |
Michael Wilson anytime TD | 2.849 | 35.10% | 3.10 |
Malik Nabers anytime TD | 3.099 | 32.27% | 3.25 |
Break even is 100 divided by decimal odds. It is the arithmetic hit rate needed at that payout, not an FN scoring probability, and it has not removed sportsbook margin. The minimum entries are subjective price rules rather than outputs from a calibrated player model. Every recorded quote below is short of its stated floor, so these are watchlist candidates with explicit pass conditions.
Cam Skattebo: New York needs to reach the finishing snap
Skattebo's route is a Giants possession that arrives near the goal line with the running game still available. New York has averaged 118.3 rushing yards per game in the opening sample, but that team figure does not establish his individual scoring share. Tyrone Tracy Jr. finished Friday with full participation and no game designation, so FN would not assume an uncontested backfield. Consideration starts at 2.10 with a credible finishing role. The checked 1.83 is a pass. The countercase is a different back taking the carry, Winston throwing the scoring pass or an offense that never creates the necessary short field opportunity.
Jeremiyah Love: the favorite still has to choose the run
Arizona being favored supports a possible balanced offensive script, but a short spread does not promise Love a goal line touch. FN's 2.10 minimum requires the active backfield and anticipated role to support the rushing case. At the recorded 1.83, the scoring hurdle is above 54%. The countercase is Arizona choosing McBride or another receiver near the goal line, or New York forcing a field goal after a successful drive. An efficient rushing afternoon can still lose this market. FN would keep the football opinion separate from the unusually demanding price rather than label the shortest quoted option an automatic best bet.
Trey McBride: the closest price on the current list
McBride gives Arizona a receiving answer in the middle of the field and a way to finish without winning a short rushing collision. New York has allowed touchdowns on 77.78% of opponent red zone visits in the three game TeamRankings sample. That creates context for the case, but the sample is too small to convert directly into an individual touchdown probability. FN would consider 2.60 or better with the expected receiving role intact. The 2.45 quote remains below the rule. The countercase is extra inside coverage, a rushing finish or a drive that never reaches a useful scoring position.
Michael Wilson: a longer quote comes with a thinner route
Wilson is the receiving alternative if New York commits resources to the inside options and Arizona finds a favorable outside matchup. That is a conditional tactical argument, not a published projection of targets or red zone usage. FN wants at least 3.10 rather than the checked 2.849. The countercase is the Cardinals distributing the ball elsewhere, running to finish or losing a scoring opportunity to pressure. The price is longer than McBride's, but the payout difference by itself does not establish better value. FN would revisit the market only if both the quote and the expected role support the same coherent game script.
Malik Nabers: the Giants need useful passing aggression
Nabers offers New York a way to take advantage of Arizona's early pass defense problems. The Cardinals have allowed 9.3 yards per opponent pass attempt through three games. That is team context, not proof of a touchdown for an individual receiver. FN would consider 3.25 or better if New York's protection supports the passing route; the current 3.099 is short. The countercase is the Giants preserving possessions through the ground game, coverage directing Winston elsewhere or an unsuccessful throw in a compressed red zone. Several productive receptions can help New York win without cashing the scoring ticket.
Friday availability and the second source check
Arizona ruled out safety Dadrion Taylor Demerson and listed Josh Sweat as questionable with a groin issue. The Giants carried no Friday game designation for Andrew Thomas, Tracy, Deonte Banks or Tyler Nubin. Thomas was limited while the other three practiced fully. Sweat's final status matters to the protection case behind Nabers, but neither an improved practice nor an active designation promises an unrestricted workload.
DraftKings Network's separate board quoted McBride at plus 145, equivalent to 2.45 decimal. That matched the checked BetMGM price rather than providing a longer entry. This is one two source comparison, not a consensus market or proof of line movement. No verified opening quote was available for these selections. The direct offered number and market rules should be rechecked before any decision.
FN's first revisit is McBride at 2.60, followed by Nabers at 3.25 if protection and role remain credible. Every candidate is a pass at the recorded quote. Same team touchdown tickets depend on the same offense reaching scoring range and compete for some of the same final snaps. Combining Love, McBride and Wilson does not create three independent opportunities simply because each can score. Waiting for a useful price is a complete outcome for this matchup.
