The Ravens wrapped up their 2025 preseason undefeated (3-0) by dismantling the Washington Commanders 30–3 on Saturday in Landover, Md.
The story of the night was rookie kicker Tyler Loop, Baltimore’s sixth-round draft pick out of Arizona, who nailed all three of his field goals — including a 61-yard bomb in the fourth quarter. That was just one yard shy of his college career long (62). Loop finished the preseason going 9-for-11 on field goals overall, with 5 of 6 from 50+ yards, showing he may be capable of filling the massive shoes of longtime star Justin Tucker, who was released and suspended 10 games following off-field allegations.
Key takeaways from the win:
Tyler Loop shines: 46, 52, and 61-yard makes capped a flawless night.
Ravens defense dominates: 4 takeaways, including a 26-yard pick-six by rookie Keyon Martin and a red-zone INT by Thomas Graham.
Ground game steady: Rasheen Ali (TD run) and D’Ernest Johnson (TD run) established control.
QB play efficient: Cooper Rush went 5-for-5, while Devin Leary completed 17 of 23 passes.
Mistake-heavy night for Washington: Rookie QB Sam Hartman threw 2 INTs and lost a fumble, while veteran Josh Johnson added another interception.
Commanders offense sputters: Just 242 total yards and 3 points.
Bright spot: TE Colson Yankoff’s 52-yard catch.
Roster changes: Washington is trading RB Brian Robinson to the 49ers; Chris Rodriguez earned 34 yards on limited carries.
Injuries: Ravens WRs Dayton Wade and Xavier Guillory both left with shoulder injuries.
