Bears at Falcons Player Props: Williams Questionable and Six Price Decisions

6 min read

Latest availability update: October 16

Chicago lists Caleb Williams questionable despite three full practice entries and rules Kyle Monangai out. Atlanta's Michael Penix Jr. has no injury designation and is set to start. A full practice entry is not clearance for Williams. His availability must remain conditional in every passing and receiving evaluation.

Availability sources checked 2026-10-16T21:10:53.788Z. Any older practice entries retained below are dated context. Price snapshots keep their recorded dates and require a fresh board before action.

The quarterback reports matter more than the apparent appeal of a high total. Football Nation would not buy Bears or Falcons passing overs on the assumption that both starters immediately play at full capacity. Bijan Robinson's workload is the most established starting point, while Chicago's receiving markets require a fresh distribution judgment if Caleb Williams returns.

Confirmed October 16 update

Penix has no injury designation and is set to start, while Williams remains questionable. The two quarterback situations must be evaluated separately; neither a teammate's status nor a full practice entry settles the other team's plan.Source checked 2026-10-16T16:01:57-05:00.

NFL Week 6, 2026. Information checked October 15, 2026 at 7:13:58 AM Central. Statistical cutoff: completed games through Week 5. All quoted prices are public source snapshots, not authenticated executable offers. Book availability and settlement rules vary. Availability review refreshed October 16. The original statistical and market check times remain attached to those snapshots; no old number is represented as a current executable offer.

Chicago visits Atlanta on Sunday, October 18 at noon Central at Mercedes Benz Stadium. Williams remains questionable, while Monangai is out. The final inactive list and any direct starting announcement must resolve Chicago's quarterback plan.

Atlanta's Friday update leaves Penix without an injury designation and set to start. That supersedes the earlier October 14 conditional outlook. Chicago still has a separate unresolved quarterback decision. No roof decision has been verified, so no outdoor weather adjustment is assumed.

Market availability: the player quotes below were readable on one comparison board naming several licensed sportsbooks. An independent second current player board was not verified. No two source consensus is claimed. Where a primary sportsbook article is available, its dated number is identified separately. No continuous line movement is claimed without a comparable earlier snapshot.

1. Bijan Robinson rushing yards

Observed market snapshot: 89.5, either side −114, FanDuel.

Atlanta's official table shows 102 carries for 580 yards, or 5.7 per attempt. That is the strongest rushing baseline in this matchup, but Brian Robinson also has 51 carries and four touchdowns. A large rushing ceiling is compatible with a less secure share of finishing touches.

FN decision and price limit: A modest over review only at 89.5 and −110 or better with normal participation. FN stops at 94.5 or beyond −115.

Strongest counterargument and changing fact: Penix throws more effectively and Atlanta changes its distribution, or Chicago controls possessions. The fact that changes the case is a reduced carry role, not merely the existence of another back.

2. Caleb Williams passing yards

Observed market snapshot: 225.5, either side −114, FanDuel.

Williams' official season line is 407 passing yards on 55 attempts. His injury and Chicago's use of multiple quarterbacks make the team passing average a poor substitute for his current projection. Protection, designed movement and the confidence to extend plays all matter after a hamstring absence.

FN decision and price limit: Pass until the starting and workload plans are clear. Reconsider an over only at 219.5 or lower and −110 or better; a climb above 234.5 ends that watch.

Strongest counterargument and changing fact: A healthy return can improve the whole offense immediately, especially if Atlanta cannot disrupt the pocket. An explicit normal workload announcement and sustained full practice would change the cautious position.

3. Drake London receiving yards

Observed market snapshot: 90.5, either side −115, BetRivers.

London has 27 catches for 488 yards on Atlanta's official table, a strong efficiency baseline. His lack of a receiving touchdown through five weeks does not make a touchdown due, and it does not make this yardage line cheap. This market needs repeated productive routes, not a regression slogan.

FN decision and price limit: FN passes at 90.5. Review an over at 84.5 or lower and −110 or better, conditional on Penix's availability. A return worse than −115 or an unconfirmed quarterback workload removes the case.

Strongest counterargument and changing fact: One explosive completion can put London well ahead of the required pace. Chicago limiting explosive routes and forcing short throws is the strongest under case; an absent coverage starter could alter it.

4. Luther Burden III receiving yards

Observed market snapshot: Over 49.5 at −113, BetRivers; under 49.5 at −114, FanDuel.

Burden's 23 catches for 266 yards give him a larger reception base than Rome Odunze on the current Chicago table. That is useful evidence, but it came across a changing quarterback situation. A returning starter can alter preferred reads and where targets arrive.

FN decision and price limit: FN would consider over 49.5 at −110 or better only with a normal role. Pass above 54.5 or beyond −115.

Strongest counterargument and changing fact: Williams redistributes opportunities toward other receivers or the run game. Verified route participation and first team usage would change the case more than counting last week's fantasy points.

5. Rome Odunze receiving yards

Observed market snapshot: Over 41.5 at −114, FanDuel; under 41.5 at −110, DraftKings.

Odunze has 17 catches for 273 yards, a higher yards per catch profile than Burden but fewer receptions. That distinction matters: a lower catch floor can still support a yardage over through intermediate and vertical work. It also makes the outcome sensitive to a small number of throws.

FN decision and price limit: A conditional over review at 41.5 and −110 or better. Stop at 46.5 or beyond −115; do not assume a returning quarterback automatically creates an edge.

Strongest counterargument and changing fact: Chicago's shorter passing game gets the available completions, leaving Odunze dependent on a missed deep opportunity. A credible role restriction or a backup start would require a fresh evaluation.

6. D'Andre Swift anytime touchdown

Observed market snapshot: −179, Caesars.

Swift's official table shows 78 carries for 354 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Monangai's Wednesday absence is relevant because he has 60 carries and three scores. The quoted price requires Swift to score about 64.2 percent of the time to break even, which is a demanding claim even for an expanded role.

FN decision and price limit: FN passes at −179. Reopen only at −125 or better with Monangai unavailable and a confirmed normal Swift role. This is a price threshold, not an offer currently verified.

Strongest counterargument and changing fact: Swift could receive substantially more work and justify being favored to score. The counterargument is paying for that assumption before the final report, with quarterback rushing and other finishing options still present.

Football Nation conclusion

Chicago's quarterback and backfield reports can change several props at once. FN would wait for those facts rather than build multiple positions on the same unconfirmed return. Bijan offers the most stable volume foundation; the receiving markets offer different kinds of upside. Price limits matter because even a correct injury interpretation can already be fully reflected in the board.

The thresholds above are FN editorial judgments, not a calibrated probability forecast. A −110 price requires 52.4 percent before the selection has positive expected value; a short run of historical results is not that probability. Do not combine correlated opinions into an implied guarantee. Final practice reports, inactives and any material venue or weather change require a fresh check.
