Browns 13, Ravens 10: Szmyt Completes Cleveland's Fourth Quarter Rally

Cleveland erased a 10 point deficit and beat Baltimore 13 to 10 on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Huntington Bank Field. Andre Szmyt made the winning 37 yard field goal on the final snap after Baltimore was flagged offside on an initially blocked attempt. The result moved both clubs to 4 and 2, while Cleveland's 2 and 0 division record gave the Browns the immediate AFC North edge.

Source cutoff: October 18, 2026 at 3:26 PM Central. The NFL game center confirmed FINAL, the quarter scoring and the stadium. The Browns game account supplied the decisive sequence and player lines. Baltimore coverage confirmed Tyler Huntley's passing total and the offensive breakdown. The complete official gamebook table had not yet populated at this cutoff, so Football Nation is not inserting unverified possession, final third down or red zone totals.

How Cleveland turned the game

Baltimore controlled the opening quarter. Huntley finished the first drive with a fourth down touchdown pass to Josh Cuevas, then Tyler Loop added a 34 yard field goal for a 10 to 0 lead. Cleveland did not score in either of the first two quarters. The NFL quarter line was Baltimore 10, 0, 0, 0 and Cleveland 0, 0, 3, 10.

The shape changed after halftime. Szmyt put Cleveland on the board from 48 yards with 7:48 left in the third quarter. The Browns defense kept Baltimore scoreless for the final three periods, survived explosive third down completions to Zay Flowers and Cuevas, and created the one takeaway that mattered most.

With Baltimore protecting a 10 to 3 lead in the fourth quarter, Carson Schwesinger forced Derrick Henry's fumble and Tyson Campbell recovered it. Audric Estime finished the short field with a 2 yard touchdown at 8:33, tying the game. Szmyt later missed from 48, but Cleveland's defense forced another punt and gave Deshaun Watson one more possession.

Watson found Jerry Jeudy for a 33 yard catch and run to the Baltimore 29. Cleveland managed the remaining clock, then sent Szmyt out from 42 yards. Baltimore blocked that kick after jumping offside. The five yard penalty created the 37 yard retry, and Szmyt converted it as time expired.

The numbers that explain the finish

Watson completed 16 of 26 passes for 164 yards. Jeudy led Cleveland with four catches for 69 yards, including the defining gain on the final drive. KC Concepcion added four receptions for 37 yards, and Cleveland's defense recorded three sacks. Estime carried only seven times for 12 yards, but his touchdown was the Browns' only trip to the end zone.

Huntley threw for 165 yards on 31 attempts and produced Baltimore's only touchdown. Cuevas caught three passes for 42 yards and the score. The Ravens generated useful early down movement with Henry and converted several long third downs, but the fourth quarter fumble and the missed 49 yard field goal left the defense with no margin.

Cleveland's offense was inefficient for long stretches. The strongest counterpoint to the comeback is that Baltimore led for almost the entire afternoon and had multiple chances to end the game. The Browns nevertheless owned the two highest leverage plays: the takeaway that created the tying touchdown and Jeudy's catch that created the winning kick.

Fantasy football consequences

In standard half point per reception formats, Jeudy is the Cleveland player whose role gained the most support. Four catches are not elite volume, but he remained the preferred intermediate target and delivered the decisive explosive play. Estime's touchdown does not establish a dependable weekly workload while Quinshon Judkins is unavailable, so he remains a touchdown dependent flex rather than an automatic start.

For Baltimore, Huntley remains a low ceiling replacement while Lamar Jackson is sidelined. Henry's fumble hurt the real game, but one turnover does not erase his underlying rushing role. Cuevas produced the touchdown, yet Mark Andrews and Baltimore's established receivers still require a fresh target review before fantasy managers chase a one game result.

What changes next

The Browns visit Tennessee in Week 7. The Ravens return home for Cincinnati. Cleveland must determine whether its fourth quarter execution can become a full game offense, while Baltimore's biggest checkpoint is Jackson's ankle and the health of its offensive line. Grant Delpit left for Cleveland with a concussion, making his practice status another material checkpoint.

Football Nation conclusion: Cleveland did not win because its offense was consistently better. It won because the defense held Baltimore scoreless after the first quarter, created the only turnover and gave Jeudy and Szmyt a final chance. In a division game decided by three points, that sequence is the result.
