Patriots 45, Raiders 17: Drake Maye Accounts for Five Touchdowns

Drake Maye drove New England to a 45 to 17 win over Las Vegas on October 11, throwing four touchdown passes and running for another. Both teams finished the afternoon at 3 and 2, but the Patriots controlled this matchup on both sides of the ball.

An offense Las Vegas could not slow

Maye completed 26 of 34 passes for 374 yards. DeMario Douglas caught two touchdown passes, while Kyle Williams and Hunter Henry also reached the end zone through the air. Rhamondre Stevenson added a rushing touchdown.

The numbers behind the rout

New England produced 536 total yards and 29 first downs. Its defense held Las Vegas to just 38 rushing yards, preventing the Raiders from using the ground game to settle the contest. The Patriots scored their most points in a game since January 2022.

Las Vegas' bright spot

Brock Bowers supplied eight catches, 110 yards and a touchdown. That production could not overcome the Raiders' defensive problems or the lack of balance on offense. New England continued creating scoring opportunities well after taking control.

Football Nation takeaway

Maye's combination of passing efficiency and rushing scoring makes this an especially valuable fantasy performance. Douglas deserves a closer look, but two touchdowns alone should not be treated as a weekly target guarantee. Bowers' output is the more encouraging takeaway for Las Vegas managers: his role still produced in a difficult game. New England's task now is to carry this execution into its next matchup with the Jets.
