Week 8 Top 10 Fantasy Quarterbacks: Sunday Leaders Before Monday Night Football

5 min read

Football Nation Week 8 Sunday edition. Completed game cutoff: November 2, 2026 at 4:15 AM Central. The Monday night Bears at Seahawks game is pending and is not included in these rankings.

This ranking measures fantasy production already earned, not a projection. Joe Burrow led the completed slate, while rushing touchdowns lifted Kirk Cousins, Josh Allen, Drake Maye, and Dak Prescott. Quarterback points do not change between standard, half PPR, and full PPR here because none of the listed players recorded a reception.

Scoring and method

Quarterbacks receive one point per 25 passing yards, four per passing touchdown, minus two per interception and lost fumble, one point per 10 rushing yards, six per rushing touchdown, and two per two point conversion.

1. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

38 completions on 48 attempts, 462 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, three interceptions, plus 10 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Standard 39.48, half PPR 39.48, full PPR 39.48.

Burrow followed a strong prior baseline with the highest ceiling game of the Sunday slate. The 48 attempts and five scores created the finish, while three interceptions show why the result is not a weekly expectation. Cincinnati faces Atlanta in Madrid next. Fantasy action: keep him locked in as a QB1, but project a lower passing volume unless game script forces another shootout.

2. Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders

19 of 26 passing for 247 yards and three touchdowns, plus five carries for three yards and one rushing touchdown. Standard 28.18, half PPR 28.18, full PPR 28.18.

Cousins entered the week with a strong season scoring baseline, then added an uncommon rushing touchdown. The passing efficiency is more repeatable than the goal line run. Las Vegas visits San Francisco next. Fantasy action: start him in one quarterback leagues when healthy, but treat the rushing score as bonus production rather than a new role.

3. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

21 of 34 passing for 289 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, plus seven carries for 30 yards and one rushing touchdown. Standard 26.56, half PPR 26.56, full PPR 26.56.

Allen matched his established fantasy profile by pairing a useful passing day with seven rushing attempts and a touchdown. That dual role remains sustainable even when completion efficiency changes. Buffalo visits Minnesota on Monday in Week 9. Fantasy action: he remains an automatic start, with the rushing workload protecting his floor.

4. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

30 of 41 passing for 321 yards and three touchdowns, plus two carries for six yards. Standard 25.44, half PPR 25.44, full PPR 25.44.

Mahomes cleared 300 yards on 41 attempts and created all of his fantasy value through the air. That is a meaningful step above his earlier season scoring baseline, but the volume is supported by a close game. Kansas City hosts the Jets next. Fantasy action: treat this as a return to high end QB1 output, while recognizing that three touchdowns are never guaranteed.

5. Drake Maye, New England Patriots

16 of 20 passing for 199 yards and two touchdowns, plus eight carries for five yards and one rushing touchdown. Standard 22.46, half PPR 22.46, full PPR 22.46.

Maye needed only 20 attempts because efficiency and a rushing score did the work. Eight carries matter more for future projection than five rushing yards because they preserve designed and scramble opportunities. New England hosts Green Bay next. Fantasy action: start him as a QB1, but do not chase the touchdown rate on such limited passing volume.

6. Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

26 of 40 passing for 304 yards and two touchdowns, plus seven carries for 41 yards, with one lost fumble. Standard 22.26, half PPR 22.26, full PPR 22.26.

Ward combined a 40 attempt passing workload with 41 rushing yards, which is a useful fantasy structure even without a rushing touchdown. The strongest concern is schedule interruption because Tennessee is on bye in Week 9. Fantasy action: hold in superflex formats and use the bye to reassess whether the 40 attempt role remains intact.

7. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

30 of 41 passing for 288 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Standard 21.52, half PPR 21.52, full PPR 21.52.

Love won through passing volume and three touchdowns while adding no rushing cushion. His season baseline supports QB1 consideration, but a one dimensional scoring path creates more weekly variance. Green Bay visits New England next. Fantasy action: start him in most leagues, with a modest ceiling adjustment if the matchup projects for fewer attempts.

8. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

19 of 29 passing for 195 yards and one touchdown, plus seven carries for 20 yards and one rushing touchdown. Standard 19.80, half PPR 19.80, full PPR 19.80.

Prescott reached the top ten despite fewer than 200 passing yards because seven carries produced a touchdown. The rushing volume is encouraging, but the touchdown is less stable than passing production. Dallas hosts Indianapolis next. Fantasy action: keep him in the QB1 mix, though his passing floor needs improvement.

9. Gardner Minshew II, Arizona Cardinals

17 of 23 passing for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Standard 19.52, half PPR 19.52, full PPR 19.52.

Minshew was extremely efficient in the scoring area, but 23 attempts and 188 yards are a fragile base. His future value also depends on the verified starting role. Arizona visits Seattle next. Fantasy action: use him only in superflex or two quarterback formats until the depth chart and injury report confirm another start.

10. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

10 of 14 passing for 210 yards and three touchdowns, plus three carries for 10 yards, with one lost fumble. Standard 19.40, half PPR 19.40, full PPR 19.40.

Lawrence produced three touchdowns on only 14 attempts, a rate that will regress even if the offense stays efficient. Jacksonville visits Baltimore on Thursday, so the short turnaround matters. Fantasy action: he is a matchup dependent QB1 or strong superflex start, with volume risk clearly higher than his Week 8 finish suggests.

What changes after Monday night

The same canonical article will be updated after Bears at Seahawks is final. Any player from that game who earns a top ten score will be inserted from the completed box score, and the cutoff will move to the full Week 8 slate. No Sunday player will be removed without a recalculated position score.
