Jordan Love has reached the top 10—at least in the eyes of the people who build NFL rosters and game plans. A new survey of 50 league coaches and executives ranks the Green Bay Packers quarterback No. 10 overall and places him firmly in Tier 2 for the first time.
That sounds like validation. It also creates a fresh argument. Love was only No. 72 on the player-voted NFL Top 100, and Green Bay still has not advanced beyond the divisional round with him as its starter. Fans searching for the “Jordan Love QB ranking 2026” are really asking two questions: Has Love already become elite, or is the league projecting what he could become?
Football Nation’s answer sits between those extremes. Love’s efficiency, ball security and postseason response support a top-10 case. The remaining skepticism is about weekly consistency under pressure—not whether he has the talent to belong.
What the 2026 quarterback survey says
A current report on the annual league-insider quarterback tiers says Love ranked 10th among 35 veteran quarterbacks. He received two Tier 1 votes, 37 Tier 2 votes and 11 Tier 3 votes from the 50-person panel. He moved up three places from the previous year and finished ahead of Brock Purdy, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Trevor Lawrence and Jalen Hurts.
Those are reported opinions, not an official NFL award or a statistical formula. The survey is valuable because coaches and executives evaluate what a quarterback can handle: pure passing situations, protection changes, difficult down-and-distance plays and the ability to create when the designed answer disappears.
Love’s rise shows that the league now views him as more than a promising starter. Most voters apparently see a quarterback capable of carrying Green Bay in stretches. The disagreement is over whether those stretches happen often enough to place him alongside the four Tier 1 quarterbacks.
The statistical case for a top-10 ranking
The Packers’ official 2025 statistics show Love completed 291 of 439 passes in 15 regular-season games. He set career highs with a 66.3 percent completion rate and a 101.2 passer rating while throwing for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
The interception number is the key improvement. Love threw 11 picks in both 2023 and 2024, then cut that total nearly in half without abandoning the aggressive throws that make Green Bay’s offense dangerous. His 3.8-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio was the best of his career.
The official Packers profile also shows that Love now has 83 touchdown passes against 31 interceptions across his career. Green Bay’s 2026 NFL Top 100 announcement noted that he was one of only three quarterbacks with at least 80 touchdown passes and fewer than 30 interceptions from 2023 through the 2025 regular season, alongside Lamar Jackson and Matthew Stafford.

The playoff performance changed the conversation
Green Bay’s Wild Card loss to Chicago did not produce the result the Packers wanted, but it strengthened Love’s individual case. The official postseason box-score totals credit him with 323 passing yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions and a 103.8 rating.
General manager Brian Gutekunst said after the season that Love played some of his best football down the stretch. That is an attributed team evaluation, but the numbers support it: Love responded to playoff pressure with four scoring passes and did not give the Bears a takeaway.

What Love must prove in 2026
Love does not need to become a different quarterback. He needs to make his best version routine. That means maintaining the low interception rate, keeping Green Bay’s explosive passing element and handling pressure without turning manageable plays into high-variance throws.
