Packers Inactives vs. Cowboys: Cisse, Campbell Active; Banks Out
GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers received two useful defensive reinforcements for Sunday Night Football, but they will have to adjust on the offensive line.
Cornerback Brandon Cisse and defensive tackle Anthony Campbell are active against the Dallas Cowboys after both entered the weekend listed as questionable. Guard Aaron Banks is inactive, joining cornerback Benjamin St-Juste and reserve offensive linemen Jager Burton and Donovan Jennings on Green Bay’s inactive list.
The Packers announced the final statuses at 5:50 p.m. Central on Sunday, roughly 90 minutes before the scheduled 7:20 p.m. kickoff at Lambeau Field.

OL Donovan Jennings
Green Bay had already ruled St-Juste out on Friday because of a hamstring injury. Banks carried questionable designations for knee and toe injuries, while Cisse was questionable with a hip injury and Campbell was questionable with an ankle injury.
Why Brandon Cisse and Anthony Campbell matter
Cisse’s availability gives Green Bay another option at cornerback on a night when St-Juste is unavailable. The Packers’ secondary still faces a demanding assignment against Dallas, so Cisse being active is best viewed as an important depth and rotation boost rather than a reason to assume the matchup has suddenly become easy.
Campbell’s return is similarly helpful up front. He had missed the previous three games with the ankle injury, according to the Packers’ official inactive announcement. His presence adds a healthy body to a defensive-tackle group that entered the weekend without Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Ford.
Green Bay placed Hargrave, Ford and wide receiver Skyy Moore on injured reserve Saturday. The club also activated receiver Savion Williams from injured reserve and elevated defensive lineman Coleman Owen and linebacker Arron Mosby for the game.
Campbell may be eased back into the rotation after the multi-game absence. His active status raises the floor for Green Bay’s defensive-line depth, but it does not guarantee a full workload.
Aaron Banks being inactive changes the offensive-line picture
Banks’ absence is the most significant surprise on Green Bay’s side of the final list because he had not been ruled out in advance. The Packers also made Burton and Jennings inactive, narrowing their available offensive-line combinations.
The team did not announce its full starting alignment with the inactive list, so fantasy managers and bettors should avoid treating any specific replacement as confirmed until the opening series. The practical takeaway is that Green Bay’s protection and run-blocking continuity deserve extra attention early in the game.
That does not automatically turn Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs or the Packers’ pass catchers into sits. It is a game-context downgrade that should be weighed against each player’s normal role, not a reason to make a last-minute panic move.

LB DeMarvion Overshown
CB Cobie Durant

RB Emari Demercado
OLB James Houston
T Drew Shelton
WR Camden Brown
Overshown had already been ruled out with a foot injury, and Dallas will also be without cornerback Cobie Durant and edge defender James Houston. Those absences matter to the Cowboys’ defensive depth even with Green Bay making an adjustment of its own up front.
Fantasy football and game impact
Cowboys passing game: Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens remain usable according to their normal fantasy tiers. Cisse being active helps Green Bay’s depth, but it does not erase the challenge posed by Dallas’ top receivers.
Packers defense: Campbell’s return improves the rotation, though managers should not treat it as a standalone reason to elevate the Green Bay D/ST. The unit is still managing several absences.
Packers offense: Banks being inactive adds uncertainty to protection and interior run blocking. Monitor Green Bay’s starting five and the first two possessions before drawing conclusions about the rest of the night.
IDP formats: Campbell is a watch-list player rather than an automatic start after missing three games. Cisse’s role and snap share should also be confirmed before relying on him in deeper defensive leagues.
What to watch after kickoff
The first checkpoint is Green Bay’s offensive-line configuration. The second is how quickly Campbell rotates into the defensive front and whether Cisse handles a regular defensive role or primarily supplies depth and special-teams snaps.
Because the active list confirms availability—not workload—snap usage will be more informative than the first defensive series alone. Fantasy managers should use the final inactive news to refine expectations, then let the actual rotations guide any Week 7 waiver or lineup decisions.
